鳥は古くから、天と地を行き来する存在と考えられてきました。
自由に空を飛ぶその姿は、幸運や吉兆の象徴でもあります。

この鳥文字では、福という文字の中に鳥を宿しました。
空から運ばれてくる小さな福のしるしのような、静かな図案です。

身につける人のもとに、ささやかな福が訪れますように。

The character Fuku means fortune and blessing.
Since ancient times in East Asia, it has been cherished as a symbol of happiness and good fortune. In many places, the character is placed at the entrance of a home as a wish to invite good luck.

Birds have long been seen as beings that move freely between heaven and earth.
Their ability to fly across the sky has made them a symbol of freedom and auspicious signs.

In this design, a bird is placed within the character for Fuku.
It is like a small sign of good fortune arriving from the sky.

May a gentle blessing find its way to the person who wears it.

The Inspiration Behind TORIMOJI

One of the visual inspirations for TORIMOJI comes from an ancient Japanese talisman called Kumano Goō Hōfu, issued by the Kumano shrines in Wakayama for hundreds of years.

This sacred paper charm is created from many stylized crows. When arranged together, the birds form mysterious patterns that look almost like writing.

In Japanese mythology, the crow is considered a sacred messenger of the gods.

Inspired by this tradition of forming symbols from birds, TORIMOJI explores a contemporary interpretation — creating new characters from the shapes and movements of birds.
