**鳥文字（Bird Script）**は、鳥の形から生まれる記号です。

それは読むための文字ではなく、自然の気配を感じるためのかたちです。

八重山の空を渡る鳥や、風や海の流れが、

単純な形となって布の上に現れます。

それらは古い文字のようにも見えますが、

まだ意味を持たない、新しい記号でもあります。

私はその「絵」と「文字」のあいだにある領域を探っています。

Bird Script is a symbolic form created from the shapes of birds.

It is not a system of letters to be read, but a form that evokes the presence of nature.

Birds crossing the skies of Yaeyama, along with the movement of wind and sea,

are transformed into simple shapes that appear on cloth.

They may resemble fragments of an ancient script,

yet they remain new symbols without fixed meaning.

My work explores the space between image and writing.
